ABOUT MY WORK
I create realised pet portraits what truly reflect the nature and personality of your pet. I always catch that perfect expression, that look in its eyes, the personality shines through my portraits. I love to paint pets and animals of all kinds, but mainly focus on dogs and horses
I also draw ballet dancers too, I would have loved to be a ballet dancer in my childhood but it was not to be.... so instead I create beautiful, dynamic drawings of dancers. Each picture is full of movement and grace, which is just a joy to capture.
Each of my paintings take hours to perfect, I strive to reflect the expression, the movement and character of every picture I draw.
My commissioned portraits can be a fabulous drawing of a treasured pet or a loving memorial of one that has been lost. They make great gifts too.
I'm currently taking bookings for commission drawings, so please get in touch to book yours!
My Framed Originals and prints are available by clicking on the SHOP page of my website and they're also available in the Selene Gallery in Holmfirth and prints and cards are available in Authentic Gallery in Uppermill
After leaving art college with a diploma in Art and Design, I left the world of art and spent the next 100 years (at least..) working in marketing and account management, and bringing up my son, Bailey.
I didn't have much time to dedicate to my love of art, but now my son is older, (he's 17 now), so I have more time on my hands to create the art that I love.
I started out painting flowers and landscapes, which I shipped all over the UK and USA and a few even went to Australia! But my love of animals has always been there. I've had horses and so many dogs and cats from being really young. My artwork has more recently turned towards painting and drawing animals and so I started with my friends' dogs and cats as surprise gifts. Soon word spread and I was being asked by people walking their dogs in the park if I could create a picture of their pooch.
I love every minute I spend drawing, I hope you love the result.
Love, Jill x
